Siam Cuisine is located on Arch Street in the
heart of Philadelphia Chinatown. Back in the
early 1980s, before Thai restaurants had
infiltrated the mainstream culture, |

Siam owner Chumlong "Mr. Long" Deangldeelert opened his first Thai restaurant in
the Philly area. He discovered that most people are a little shy when it comes to
sampling Thai food because they're afraid it's going to be too hot and spicy, but that
once they did, they were hooked. You'll find plenty of items on the menu, both spicy
and tame, including pad Thai, stir-fried shellfish, flambeed hen and lemongrass soup.
Leave some room for dessert and sample the homemade herbal cake topped with
one of the house ice creams |
